Bring it on Home

There is no doubt that there is a dark presence in every move they make and every tune they shake.  There is a darkness to Led Zeppelin if it is implied of if it is really there.  There is one theory in particular which chills many, this theory speculates that Led Zeppelin "sold their souls" to the Devil for wealth, power fame, etc.  Supposedly Jones was the only one that refused.  Led Zeppelin has had horrific disasters befall them which is supportive of that theory.  There is absolutely no evidence for this theory and the band denises it.  That dark presence is still there.  Another question that is commonly asked is if Jimmy Page is a Satanist.  He and the other members of Led Zeppelin denies it.  He is a collector of occult books and paraphenalia.  He was a devout follower of Aleister Crowley, a famous occultist a.k.a. a Satanist.  He(Page) even bought Crowley's old residence.  It is still fun to think about it.
Symbol Definition

Robert Plant - the circle with the feather in it. This is the feather of Ma'at, the Egyptian goddess of justice and fairness, and is the emblem of a
writer
John Paul Jones - single circle intersecting 3 vesica pisces. Taken from a book of runes and symbolises a person with confidence and competence. It also appears in various mystery school texts, such as the Rosicrucians.
John Bonham - three intersecting circles. Symbolises the man-wife-child trilogy.
Jimmy's symbol is different - what we know is that it is made up of symbols, it has nothing to do with Viking runes (you can easily verify this), it does not say "Zoso", has nothing to do with a child monkey cartoon named Zoso, or an Egyptian pharoah names Zoser, and nobody has yet found a Crowley reference or any symbol associated with the Red Dragon (an esoteric term describing Kundalini energy travelling downwards as sexual energy, rather than upwards along the spinal column to achieve immortality).
I want to present the symbols as I have decoded through my own research.
These three symbols appeared on Jimmy's jeans during the 1973 tour (this is from a photo on the cover of the CD "56700 Fans Gathered Together and Boogie", Tampa, 5 May 1973).
These three signs are Astrological symbols which you can verify in any text on Astrology.
Top - Capricorn, Jimmy's sun sign (Jimmy was born on 9 January)
Middle - Scorpio, Jimmy's ascendant sign
Bottom - Cancer, Jimmy's moon sign
These three signs are the the most important for Astrological analysis of a person's personality. Refer to standard texts on Astrology if you want to know more about this, and to confirm the astrological symbols.
The above is shown by way of introduction to the symbol from the 4th album, which I will break up into sections.
This is Jimmy's symbol, as it appeared on the 4th Led Zeppelin album. It can be logically divided into three sections, as given below. The final design was obviously subject to a little artistic license.
This first section, the "Z", is clearly a stylised representation of the Astrology symbol for Capricorn (as shown above on Jimmy's trousers). Capricorn is Jimmy's sun sign, and it is logical that this should be at the "front" - like a mascot on the bow of a ship.
This symbol is much harder to define. For a while I thought it was form of the Cancer symbol (see above) with some artistic imagination. I then had a theory that it was a stylised representation of the Hebrew alphabetic letter Aleph. The Hebrew Aleph character (ie "A" in the English language) is shown here: This is a very important character in Tarot. It is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and appears on "The Fool" Tarot card. By rotating this letter through 45 degrees, it looks like This does bear a resemblance to the o-S-o symbol. Anyone who has studied Tarot will understand why the letter is important to Jimmy - it symbolises the cultural power, creative energy, life-power, the vital energy which is received on the earth in physical form as the energy of the sun (see Tarot card #0). It is the life-breath or Prana (chi) energy. In Tarot the Aleph is often shown pictorially as a sun shining from above and/or right (the East in Tarot cards), and this symbol occupies the same position in the "Zoso" symbol.
Recently, the following information was brought to my attention which seems even more likely. This extract was sent to me from Crowley's book "The Equinox":

So the two "O's" with dots in them are 6's, and the "S" also stands for 6, as well as sol, the sun. So the Zoso symbol is actually 666.
I haven't got this one fully worked out yet and have received no satisfactory explanation. Some people have suggested that it incorporates a Zain, the Hebrew letter equivalent of "Z" meaning sword. It looks like which does have a resemblance to the part in the middle of the symbol. The Hebrew character associated with The Hermit (a sign of considerably interest to Jimmy, as it appeared on the Led Zeppelin IV album cover, and in the movie "The Song Remains the Same") is the yod but I don't think this is relevant. If anything, the Teth is the closest (as with the other symbols, somewhat stylised). The Teth means serpent, and represents the strength of the hidden Kundalini power associated with Tantra, a subject in which young Jimmy had a keen interest! The Kundalini is derived from the cosmic Prana force (Aleph), but lies sleeping at the base of the spine before it is awakened and arises to join the "sun" - it therefore is shown below the Aleph symbol above.
